[Updated] Introducing the team for 2017...

In addition to the article below we are also able to confirm our part time teaching staff for 2017.

Sharlene Sallabanks, Anne McPhail, Natalie O'Connell and Megan Wright will all be teaching in the school on a Wednesday. We welcome these teachers to their part time roles where they will provide a variety of release across the school.

We would also like to thank and farewell our part time teachers from 2016 who have contributed so much to our school... Natasha Todd, Sophie Huston, Marie Porter and Kelly Van Nierop.  

Aleisha Klomp who  has been our expert coach and mentor for the Rata team will also not be returning in 2017 and we thank her, for her leadership, mentoring and support this year.

We are pleased to share our 2017 teaching team with you. Please see the overview below.

We plan to share with you our 2017 homeroom placements (which homeroom your child will be in for 2017) on the Friday of Week 9 (12 December).

  • Kātua will have 4 Year 7/8 Homerooms and the teachers will be Cara Cumberpatch (Team Leader), Angie Rayner, Sam Jack and Michelle Smith/Jacinta Clark (Clare Doornenbal will be returning from maternity leave in Term 3).

  • Pīrere will have 4 Year 5/6 Homerooms and the teachers will be Lyn White (Team Leader), Sue Andrews, Matt Grenfell and Nicki McFadzien.

  • Kōraho will have 5 Year 3/4 Homerooms and the teachers will be Rose Lewis (Team Leader), Meg Cadillac, Denise Thompson-Marr, Kate Divett and Elesha Griffioen.

  • Māunu will have 6 Homerooms (two new entrant classes, one Year 1, one Year 1/2 Homeroom and two Year 2 Homerooms), and the teachers will be Kirsty Brownlie (Team Leader), Tarsha King, Sarah Moore, Mary Bastion, Toni Loveridge, and Penelope Blanchfield/Rachael Creighton.

We congratulate (and farewell) both Ida Cullen and Cameron Duncraft who are moving on to new opportunities. Cameron will be moving to Templeton School and Ida to Spreydon School.
