Now that class programmes are up and running we are asking for parents, grandparents and other supporters to volunteer as Reading Mileage tutors.

If you enjoy reading with your child at home you will probably also enjoy helping with Reading
Mileage. Research has shown that the more a child reads the easier it becomes-and we need people to listen to and encourage children who are finding reading challenging. 

Tutors need to be able to make a commitment of one or two 30 min sessions each week. Times are flexible. A short training session is provided and support is offered throughout the year. Class teachers really appreciate the help they get from tutors-it really does make a difference!  We have a big need for tutors so please consider becoming a Reading Mileage Tutor and support a valuable school programme.
