A short message from our principal.

Kia ora Whānau

Welcome back to school! It was great to see everyone returning to school this morning, safe and well. A special thank you to our PTA who provided the opportunity for parents to have a cuppa and a catch up in the staffroom this morning. 

Whilst we may be back into normal school time routines we know that this is not a normal or typical school week. We will of course be guided by the needs of the children and respond as appropriate to these needs but ask you to keep us informed of any support that your child/ren or yourselves may require.

We have some additional staff in the school today to support us (as needed) and we have had offers of support from the Ministry of Education, School Based Mental Health Team, Christchurch Methodist Mission and from many school parents. We are also working closely with the PTA who also have access to many resources and people in the school community who are ready and willing to help. 

Some parents have also been asking how last weeks school closure will affect our term dates and number of days open, the short answer here is that it won't.
