News from the PTA

PTA —

PTA Funds: the PTA would like to let you know how funds raised in 2016 have been used.

In 2016 our fundraising goal was to support the following:

  • CPS School Rebuild & Repair Project
  • CPS School Sports and Cultural Uniforms
  • PTA Empathy Fund – assisting families in times of need
  • PTA Hardship Fund – assisting families who are unable to meet extra schooling costs (eg school camps)
  • Funding for adhoc requests made by the school and community

The PTA has now made a contribution to complement the rebuild project towards the following:

  • Equipment for the new library
  • Kitchen appliances for Pīrere and Māunu
  • Kitchen appliances for the new staff room/community space

We’ve also used the funds to help with:

  • School Field  (drainage, irrigation, repairs to turf)
  • Two sets of moveable soccer goals (in progress)
  • A new pool pump for the school pool
  • Repair of the log bridge in the junior playground (in progress)
  • Technology storage units for Learning Spaces
  • Mobile TVs for teaching in Learning Spaces
  • Supporting the Seeds Programme

We are delighted to be able to support our school in providing enhancements to both our children’s learning and the environment for our school community of families, teachers and staff.

Thank you to the school community for all the help and support shown to the PTA.

It’s thanks to your goodwill and hard work that the PTA is able to achieve these amazing goals.
