On Wednesday the 14th of March the Kātua Team sent two Year 7 and 8 teams to the Cobham Intermediate for the annual Lit Quiz.

Before the event, which coincidentally was during Wainui Camp week, each team got to practice twice a week to extend their thinking and prepare them for the Quiz.  During the competition the teams answered a series of categorized literature questions. The categories this year were Accidents, Animals, Birds, Books into Movies, Castles, Characters from Legends, Colours, Death, Fish and Forests.

Both Cashmere Primary 1 & 2 chose Books into Movies as their double-pointed category. Surprisingly - both teams actually did best in the ‘Accidents’ category with Team 1 scoring 9 points and Team 2 scoring 7.

Each team did very well at the 2018 Lit Quiz. Team 1 came 18th out of 62 teams with a total of 67 points. Team 2 finished 44th with a total of 57 points.
