The Quiz Night, held last Thursday night to raise funds for the Year 8 trip to Wellington in December, was a great success thanks to the wonderful turnout and support of our Year 8 families. 

There was some lively competition with the quiz, some feverish bidding on the silent auction items, some precision attempts at the coin toss and lots of raffle tickets sold, which all resulted in

raising approximately $5,500 towards our fundraising goal.  A huge thank you to those year 8 families who came along with their families and friends and to those who donated some wonderful items for both our raffle and silent auction. Thank you to Garth Gallaway for hosting the evening and adding to the fun atmosphere of the night, to Barbara Turner from the school office who did a stellar job of keeping track of ticket sales and to the teachers teams, who in a busy week of parent/teacher interviews still found the time to support the event. Finally, please support the local businesses who generously donated auction items and prizes for the night.
