Lady and Lachlan

Community —

Some of you may have noticed an addition to Isabelle Carnahans family around the school yard.

Lady, an assistance dog, has joined us to help her brother Lachlan (8). Lachlan has cerebral palsy, global development delay and autism. Lady is helping him with physical support when going down steps or changing surface, but she also helps him in big crowds or places that can make him feel anxious. But above all, Lady has given Lachlan the companionship and confidence to let his personality shine through.

Lady has changed the world for our family. The waiting list for an assistance dog is 5 years long and the trust are desperately short of funds. Please help us to raise $20,000 through our Givealittle page, to pay it forward so that another family can have the same life changing experience of an assistance dog.

A clip of us from Newhub last week http://www.newshub.co.nz/home/new-zealand/2017/03/assistant-dog-proves-life-changing-for-christchurch-boy.html.  (Please be aware that there are other new items for viewing on the side of this clip)

Our Givealittle page – all payments go directly to Assistance Dogs NZ https://givealittle.co.nz/fundraiser/ladyandlachlan

Thanks
