Community Consultation : Vision and Values #2

Gavin Burn —

Please read this important update ahead of next weeks student led consultation...

Dear Whānau

As signalled last week, we are surveying our school community (whānau, students and staff) to ask about the values and attributes that we (as a community) believe will best support the children at Cashmere Primary Te Pae Kererū both now and in the future. This will inform our school’s vision and values.

Over the past 10 years there have been significant changes in our approach to education. In recent months our Ministry of Education have introduced many initiatives that are future focused, further enhancing the curriculum and ensuring that our learners are best prepared for their future.

We need to support our children to participate, create, design and thrive in education, So that they are equipped to do the same in a future focused world.

Therefore we are asking all of our students to interview you (our whānau) about the values and attributes that they will need to thrive in their future focused world.

Next week your child will be bringing home a survey that they will be sharing with you, we hope this will start an exciting conversation about your child’s future and we look forward to hearing what your whānau has to share.

Please feel to drop in for a chat or email me if you have any questions.

Ngā mihi nui

Gavin Burn
