A major initiative this year was to complete an Inclusive survey, which is put out by NZCER. 

It is optional for schools to take part and we committed to do it as we wanted to get a true picture of what was happening at Cashmere.  Parents, students and staff all took part. The survey gave us an enormous amount of rich data, both at a school wide level and a team level. Staff have spent many hours (including part of teacher Only day in term 3) looking at the data in depth and ascertaining our strengths and our next steps across the school. We have got some very clear themes coming through across the school. Overall the strength is "School is a welcoming place where children's successes and strengths are celebrated". Our Next Step is to ‘Celebrate individuality within a community’ (ie CPS) and this will be one focus for 2017 across the school.
