My name is Carol and I work for the Christchurch Methodist Mission as the PracticeLeader – Community Response Team. Throughout the year I will be providing social work support to children and whanau at Cashmere Primary School. For ten years I have practised as a Social Worker in mental health, rehabilitation, working with individuals and families in hospitals and community settings. I have recently moved back to New Zealand, from Australia, and previously I lived on the beautiful West Coast. My favourite things are my two daughters, being outdoors amongst trees, birds, rivers and the ocean. I enjoy drawing and painting, reading and watching funny movies.
I look forward to becoming part of the school community.
Hi everyone! My name is Tracey Gibbs and I am a Community Response Worker for the Christchurch Methodist Mission. I have been in this role for 5.5 years and love it! My role is to support schools and the community by providing 1-1 mentoring, groupwork, Wise Up groups and whanau support. I will be working in Cashmere Primary School for this term as I will be going on maternity leave in May. I am really passionate about working with children, giving them space to express themselves and helping find ways to manage emotions or things that may be happening for them. In my spare time, I love to swim and aqua jog, play sports in particular netball and spend quality time with my family and friends. I’m really looking forward to getting to know you all. Thank you.
