On Thursday 23 November it was a perfect day for tennis at the Hagley Club!

We had twelve pupils representing Grammar (7 boys / 6 girls). The first matches were mixed doubles, giving the players the opportunity to experience the social side to tennis, and make arrangements for the Y8 Dance later that evening!! Perhaps now surprisingly, the result was a draw with three matches won by each school. 

The singles was a hard fought battle, with warm temperatures and long competitive rallies taking a toll on the players.  STAC took out the win with eight matches to four, but everyone played some exceptional tennis. It was a great experience and the tennis played was in good spirit, resulting in a well-deserved ice cream on the walk back.
