Miss Penny Tattershaw —

Cyber Safety and IT Info Evening Tomorrow  (Wednesday 1 November), 7.00pm

We have Janelle Riki-Waaka who is on the Learning with Digital Technologies team at CORE Education discussing aspects of Cyber-safety. As learning has an increasing digital aspect, it is important, as parents, educators and children we work together to reinforce good practices for staying safe online.

The evening will start with a presentation from Janelle for 45mins and then conclude with staff from Cathedral Grammar and Cyclone Computers outlining our Devices Programme for 2018.

The meeting will take place in the hall.

After Wednesday’s meeting, we will be organizing some parent e-learning/digital literacy sessions in 2018. A survey will be sent out this year so parents can add their questions and queries. Once these are collated we will tailor workshops to meet parents’ needs. We are fortunate to start this series of meetings with Janelle tomorrow night.

We look forward to seeing you there.

Boys’ House Hockey Next Week

The Y4-8 boys will play House Hockey on Thursday 9 November. This event is an addition to the calendar.

All boys will participate and so require a mouthguard, shin pads and, if possible, a hockey stick. The school does have some sticks available to borrow.

If you wish to collect your son directly from Nunweek Park after the hockey on Thursday 9th, please advise Mr Foster of this: fostero@cathedralgrammar.school.nz. Please be aware that the buses depart Nunweek at 3.35pm and your son will return to school on the bus if not collected by this time.
