The Cathedral Grammar School Field of Remembrance

Ms Brigit McCormack —

On Monday of Week I the J2 classes and the girls of Y7 got together to do some collaborative work on the significance of ANZAC Day. This was a great way to follow up on the wonderful Chapel Service that morning.

After some work and discussion in the classroom the students went out onto the Chester Street lawn to mark out, and erect the crosses to create our own Cathedral Grammar Field of Remembrance.

The crosses displayed the names of all the Cathedral Grammar Old Boys and staff who gave service in the armed forces during WWI and WWII.

We are proud of all the Old Boys and staff of our school who served to protect our country.
