Mr Scott Thelning — Oct 17, 2017

Welcome back to Term IV

Kia ora ki te whanau o te Cathedral Grammar.

I hope you all had a fantastic time over the past three weeks. From the conversations I have had it seems that we had people in all corners of the globe creating a lot of wonderful memories. The Thelning family had ten lovely days in Port Douglas.

Term IV in all schools, especially ours,  is a busy term and we have a lot squeezed into the next nine weeks. It is an exciting term, I believe, as we continue with and celebrate a wonderful year of learning and friendship building, and farewell another special group of Y8 pupils.

Please ensure you keep a close eye on our school calendar and make sure you have all of the key dates and events locked into yours!

I regretfully inform you that over the holidays Miss Tattershaw, Mrs Eason and Mrs Berridge have resigned from their positions at Cathedral Grammar. There is 41 years of collective service, passion, energy, dedication, skill and expertise amongst these ladies and we will be sad to see them move on. We will, however, look forward to planning a suitable farewell that is fitting for all they have given to our school community.

Over the holidays we have continued with our work towards our strategic goals.

It was pleasing to be able to share our vision and strategic goals with you last term and we will continue to communicate our progress as we relentlessly set about achieving them.

See you at the Athletics on Thursday 26 October!

Nga mihi

Scott
