Steps for South Sudan

Ms Brigit McCormack —

Thank you to the children, teachers and parents of the school community who came together to participate in our Steps for South Sudan event.

There are some wonderful photographs and memories of the school stepping together.  This event was organised by Beth, Ruby, Eloise, Angus and Joseph from Y8 who worked together towards raising the awareness of the problems in South Sudan and to raise money for the World Vision 40 Hour Famine. Big congratulations to them for running this event so smoothly.

Other students throughout the school have participated in their own challenges which have included 40 hours no furniture, no technology and no food. We have also had students sleep in a car, complete a sponsored swim and run 10km. Well done to all students who gave up their time and successfully completed their challenges. If you would still like to make a donation you can do that by following CGS Online Donations

Thank you to the Friends Association for sponsoring the sausage sizzle. It was a well-deserved treat after all the activity.
