Science is everywhere in the Pre-School
Over the last few weeks Pre-School has been experimenting with many different materials. This week is no different!
Cooper’s Dad, Sam from C1 Expresso kindly dropped of some unusual items for an experiment to do with the tamariki today. The kaiako were also in the dark about what was going to happen with the odd looking nut objects in the three glass vases. The instructions were to fill the glass vase with a bit of cold water and then add hot water, which Ms Libby followed to the tee!
The world of science is full of fun, discovery, experimentation and observation as the tamariki were hypothesizing what these objects were and what they would turn into as the warm water made them open. Paige suggested a fish; Erin a jellyfish; Iver a frog!
The tamariki and teachers had great fun trying to guess what each object was transforming into. Slowly bit by bit they unfolded to become amazing 'blooming tea' flowers .
