Week IV sees our Y6&8 boys and girls preparing for and participating in their camp experiences at Hanmer Springs and Mt Cook.
Camp provides an opportunity for pupils to enjoy each other’s company outside the usual school environment and challenge themselves in a variety of ways. We wish the pupils, parents and staff involved all the best for the week. Despite the weather, reports so far indicate that all pupils are having a fabulous time.
While Y6&8 are away, Y7 have been stepping up and taking on some leadership responsibilities. These range from leading prayers and readings in Chapel services to ensuring our pupils are safe crossing the road before and after school. The Y7's are also working on organising an afternoon of sport for our Y4&5 pupils on Friday. The afternoon will run similar to a Top Town format, so the Y4&5 boys and girls are advised to bring in a towel just in case! We have been most impressed in the way the Y7's have been able to work collaboratively, think creatively and embrace leadership opportunities.
