From Zooming to Zooming....
Nau mai hoki mai... it is great to be back in Pre-School. We absolutely loved connecting via Zoom during our time at home. As you can well imagine it was an interesting learning curve. Our focus was 'keeping connected'. I am sure that using Zoom as a visual tool for our young learners has helped with what seems a very easy and gentle return to Pre-School for everyone. Having a busy Pre-School with the tamariki zooming around on the bikes, laughing and enjoying each others company has been a highlight.
A special welcome to the five families who have started with us this term. We are looking forward to collaborating with you to ensure a successful Pre-School experience for your children. They have all settled beautifully.
It is with sadness we say goodbye to Miss Manson who will be leaving Pre-School next week. Miss Manson is seeking a new challenge and has secured a position at the Police Communications Unit. She has been with us for many years and she will be missed. She has asked for a small no fuss farewell so if you want to pop in to say a goodbye, please feel free to do so before next Wed 3 June, her last day. She will definitely have some good work stories in her new position. We wish her well. The job is currently being advertised and we will let you know when we appoint a new teacher to the Pre-School.
We love being outside and as you can see our recent fejoa harvest has been a flourishing success. With the winter weather, we ask that all children come to Pre-School with plenty of warm layers a jacket and gumboots for puddle jumping.
As the song suggests...." it is good to be back"
nga mihi
Lyndell
