Tennis with Hagley Park Tennis Club
For many years now, the school has had links with the Hagley Park Tennis Club, and a number of pupils have played competitive tennis for the club. Over the winter, HPTC joined with Te Kura to form Te Kura Hagley Park Tennis Club, still based at the wonderful facilities in the park.

Te Kura Hagley Park Club has a new head coach, Hugo Nurse-Strang, and Hugo is keen to offer Grammar pupils the ongoing opportunity to join the coaching programmes and play tennis at the club.

Open Day: The club has Open Day on Saturday 30 September where players can give tennis a go for free. No experience is necessary. Just go along! Juniors who have not played competitively before can try the Hot Shots coaching 10.00-11.00am Juniors with some match play experience can join interclub players between 11.00am and 12.00pm.

Holiday Coaching Programmes: The club is also running junior holiday coaching that cater for all abilities during all three weeks of the school holidays. Grammar pupils can try one day – 3 hours of coaching! – for free. Details can be found on the Te Kura Hagley Park Facebook page and then email junior@tekuratennis.co.nz to register.

Playing Interclub: Anyone thinking about playing interclub tennis who has not yet registered with the club, please make contact as soon as possible, even if you also plan to come to the Open Day. The club is keen to sort out its player numbers. Please email junior@tekuratennis.co.nz.
