I've been visiting nearby parishes to connect with local safeguarding representatives. This will help ensure effective communication on safeguarding matters moving forward.

I've completed the safeguarding reviews for St. Columba’s, Frankton; St. Joseph’s, Fairfield; and St. Mary MacKillop of Rotorua. Once compiled I will send them to parishes to support their safeguarding plans. More reviews for the outer parishes of Hamilton will follow soon.

I recently returned from Christchurch, where I attended an in-person meeting on September 16th and 17th with all Safeguarding Leads from dioceses across New Zealand, supported by NOPS (National Office for Professional Standards.) I look forward to seeing positive growth in all dioceses as we implement the safeguarding standards.
