Foodstuffs Distribution Centre is the employer of over 1000 people working in various roles within the Hornby complex.

Just like a supermarket but on a grand scale, there are warehouses for frozen food, refrigerated food, and one much larger warehouse for everything else!  Every day of every hour, inward goods are being delivered and goods are leaving to be driven to 200 stores around the South Island: Pak n Save, New World, Four Square, Raeward Fresh etc.

Foodstuffs Distribution Centre employs school students in part time work roles.  On Tuesday 6 August, we were lucky to be able to tour the warehouses to experience the work environment and understand more about the various work roles available at Foodstuffs DC.
