Exciting Building Work Planned

Craig Dunnett —

Exciting building work is planned for Christchurch Boys' High School over the next 28 months.

Straven Block

Work starts on this temporary classroom block at the end of October 2018 and is due for completion early April 2019. This building will be used as decant space over the next five years, when other buildings at the school are demolished. It will be situated on the main field next to the Straven Road and Te Kura Street boundaries.

Caddick Block

Construction of this new block will start in early April 2019 and is due for completion around the end of January 2021. With its distinctive twin gables facing Kahu Road and the Avon River, this building will be larger than the Main Block. It will be home to Music, Social Sciences, English and the Library.

Caldwell Block

Construction of this new block will also start in early April 2019 and is due for completion around the end of January 2021. The building will contain 12 specialist Science laboratories.
