A commitment to single sex boys’ education is a commitment to identifying, talking about, modelling and developing a modern, values based positive, inclusive and caring masculinity.

The 15-minute Ted Talk at this link is of American Academic Michael Kimmel. Staff have seen this video this term and I do encourage parents to watch this and discuss it with their sons. Kimmel’s description of privilege is particularly effective.

Boys schools do need to address gender and what it means to be a good man and this is central to the vision of Christchurch Boys' High School.
