After the devastating earthquake in North Canterbury last month, we decided we could help that community out by doing a water drive, which became "Water for Waiau".

Thank you to all those junior boys who bought in water to donate and also we thank the businesses' that contributed to our initiative, Ravensdown , NZ Wool and Mag and Turbo.

We donated in excess of 3000 bottles, some of which were delivered to the Waiau Hall in the school vans. Mr Doug Archbold from Rural Support Trust came and spoke at assembly to say thank you to the Boys' High community for their kindness to the people of the worst affected areas in North Canterbury.

The school have sent messages to those families who live in the worst affected areas who have boys who are starting here at school next year.
