International Students Cook a Kiwi Classic!!

Carl Everett —

International students have been enjoying cooking classes starting with the timeless classic the 'Cheese Roll'!

CBHS is hosting a group of students from around the world in term one. Many of these students had never stepped foot in a kitchen before but were all smiles when they had the opportunity to create their very first dish. Thank you to Ms. Boyle for the opportunity.

Over the first few weeks of school, our international students have been enjoying the best Christchurch has to offer. We started the year with a stunning day at Adrenalin Forest followed by a BBQ in Spencer Park. The time was spent getting to know each other and the international support staff.

The next activity was surfing, and all of the students had an exciting time battling the waves in the strong Christchurch easterly. Tomas Munoz from Chile was a standout with his 'no fear' approach to the set waves!

A day trip to Hanmer Springs to sample the water slides with Christchurch Girls' High School international students was just the thing to grow their social network. All of the students enjoyed a beautiful day. Special mention to Smylies Tours and their friendly staff.

All of the students are very much looking forward to their next New Zealand adventure before returning home.
