The choir at CBHS has been enjoying a renaissance over the past couple of years under the continued direction of Barbara Mulholland and the new addition of Daniel Cooper (CBHS 2011-14) as assistant musical director. The choir relished the opportunity to perform at the regional Big Sing competition held at Knox Presbyterian Church on Friday 24 June.

The boys sang three songs of varied genre; ‘Bring Him Home’ from Les Miserables, ‘For the Beauty of the Earth’ by John Rutter, and the very reflective and intricate ‘Sanctus’. The students performed with distinction to an appreciative audience and many positive comments were passed at the completion of their performance. Next on the agenda for the choir is competing at the ‘Voices of Canterbury’ festival being held 29-31 August before once again performing at Senior Prizegiving assembly on Thursday 3 November.
