Position Vacant: NCEA Exam Centre Manager
Christchurch Boys’ High School needs to fill the position of NCEA Exam Centre Manager. Although the school is advertising the job, the appointee will be employed by NZQA and will be responsible to them. The appointee will also work closely with school management.
In short, the appointee will be responsible for the
organisation, management and running of the NCEA exams, in the school, during
November and December. A high degree of
planning and organisational skills is required.
Several of the main roles are:
- Planning the number of rooms
required for each examination
- Organising a team of
supervisors and their schedule
- Doing seating plans for each
room for each exam
- Organising the exams papers for
each exam
- Planning for the students permitted
reader/writer or computer assistance
- Ensuring the exams are run
according to NZQA’s rules
NZQA provide training for people new to the position.
The retiring ECM has also offered to help the new appointee with advice and guidance should that be necessary.
