A Modern School with a Rich Past

CBHS —

Modern, traditional classrooms that are purposeful and inspire students.

The CBHS rebuild has involved the demolition and rebuild of multiple buildings within the school campus. The objective of this project was to ensure teaching spaces and other school buildings are designed to be purposeful and to prioritise the relationship between the student and their teacher.

The School is currently nearing the conclusion of the Canterbury Schools Rebuild Programme. This programme has involved completing the Hall, Energy Centre, Caddick and Caldwell Blocks and the Main Block.

Construction has now started on a new state of the art Multisport Turf Complex. This will primarily be a curriculum space for Physical Education, but it will also provide much needed facilities for other sports at CBHS. This project is due for completion at the end of August 2025.

Following on from the turf project the school is hoping to work closely with the Ministry of Education to start the process of building a new Gym.
