Duke of Edingburgh's Award - Information Evening

Lorraine Dunn —

We are excited to offer the Duke of Edinburgh’s Bronze and Silver Award at Boys’ High this term for all Year 9, 10, and 11 students who wish to take part.

The DofE Award is a fantastic opportunity for young people to challenge themselves, explore their interests, and develop key life skills. Participants design their own programme across the four award sections: Voluntary Service, Physical Recreation, Skills, and the Adventurous Journey. With the guidance and support of school staff, they choose activities they’re passionate about, set personal goals, and track their progress.

If your son is interested in joining, we warmly invite you to our information evening to learn more:

📅 Date: Thursday, 13th February
⏰ Time: 6:00 – 6:30 PM
📍 Location: The Big Room

During the session, we’ll explain the different sections of the Award, the sign-up process, and how students will be supported throughout their journey. If you have already signed up to complete the award with us this year, you do not need to attend but feel free to come along if you wish.

Please register your interest to attend the meeting here. For more details before the event, visit the DofE website or contact Mr O’Neill at oneillcj@staff.cbhs.school.nz.

We look forward to seeing you there!
