On Friday 19 August, a number of staff took a large group of Kapa Haka boys and a few cyclists to the airport to welcome back recent Old Boy Keagan Girdlestone from Europe. 

Keagan has spent the last 3 months recovering from a horrific cycling accident. Keagan managed to stand for the performance and he was very humble with the whole experience. He was then escorted to a waiting ambulance and taken to Christchurch hospital to continue his recovery.

This particular clip has had over 2800 views since being uploaded to Youtube. More dramatic is that his cycling team (Team Dimension Data for Qhubeka) shared this video as well and has had over 65,000 views.

It was a very emotional and uplifting experience for all involved.
