Christchurch Boys' High School would like to inform the community of a new temporary classroom block on the corner of Straven Road and Te Kura Street.

This building is needed as part of the rebuild process at Christchurch Boys' High School to facilitate continued education while other blocks are demolished and rebuilt around the school. It is estimated that this building will be in place for approximately five years.

The building is proposed to be approximately 20m x 48m. It will have an access path from the school driveway and is planned to provide decanting teaching space for approximately 5 years whilst the campus redevelopment is completed.

We plan to start detailed design in the next month and have construction complete by term 2, 2019 at the latest. The pictures below give an indication of what this building will look like.
