Kiwi squash star Paul Coll's winning run in Chicago has fallen "falt" in the final.

Coll, of Greymouth, has gone down in a fighting performance in the decider of the Windy City Open platinum tournament.

The 27-year-old was beaten by world No. 2 Ali Farag in five games 14-12, 11-9, 7-11, 6-11, 1-11.

Coll, ranked fifth in the world, started strongly to win the first two games but once Farag got on a roll in the third he upped his tempo.
