Kayden Leftly (9HDM) has received a 'Highly Commended' award in a national writing competition.

It is called the Smart Alex creative writing competition, and it is open to all secondary school students in New Zealand and the South Pacific. It is run by the Friends of the Turnbull Library (FoTL), in association with the National Library of New Zealand.
