Maadi Cup Hopes

Richard Taylor —

The week our rowers have been building up for is just around the corner. Teacher in Charge, Richard Taylor tells us about the squads hopes for the biggest week in Secondary School Rowing, and highlights the recent success at the South Island Championships.

Maadi Cup Rowing Regatta 2018

After many excellent results at the South Island Secondary School Regatta in Twizel, the CBHS rowing squad head to Ruataniwha again to compete in Secondary School National Championship of Rowing, The Maadi Cup Regatta.

It’s our goal to have boats do well across every age group. While the U18 events are always the main target, having success across all ages is extremely important for building a sustainable program.

Each year is a new year for us. We reassess our goals and set new targets. The events we won gold in at South Island Secondary School are of course our main focus for the Maadi Regatta.
