The National Rugby League (NRL) visited Christchurch for the first time since the 2011 earthquakes. 

The Penrith Panthers hosted the New Zealand Warriors at AMI Stadium and during the lead in, chose to train at school on the brand new, number one rugby field. 

Hundreds of students took the opportunity to fill the grandstand to watch the Kiwi laden Panthers side go through their paces on Wednesday 11th May. 

It was fantastic to host a high profile, professional club and by all accounts the players and management team, really enjoyed their visit.

Penrith beat the Warriors 30 - 18 on Saturday the 14th.
