As the year draws to a close and the last of the Year 10 classes complete their vocational pathways programme, it is possible to look back on another successful year. 

To the new companies that have come onboard this year and generously offered their time and resources, and to the old ones who been part of our careers programme for some years, the school, careers department and the whole Year 10 group are extremely appreciative of the opportunities presented.

Two recent Year 10 careers visits that were great successes were to Jasmax, a design and architecture company, and to law firm Cavell Leitch. The interactions between students and staff were wonderful to see and clearly both parties enjoyed the experience. The students are rating these visits very highly in terms of providing a meaningful career experience.

Jasmax is a new partner with CBHS and as they are designing the new school hall there is a strong connection between the two organisations. Cavell Leitch have been working with CBHS for over 10 years and Managing Director Julian Clarke, has been a supporter of the school ever since he attended it as a student!
