Cellphones at CBHS

In 2024, CBHS will not allow the use of cell phones during the school day (8.45am to 3pm). This will apply to all Year 9-13 students. Boys will be expected to keep their phones inside their bags. 

Please be advised that the school holds no responsibility for any damage incurred to mobile phones.

If there is an urgent need for communication that cannot wait until the end of the school day, students and whānau can make contact through Student Services.

With regard to cell phones, as always, the school will be reasonable and proportionate. For example, an exemption could be agreed where a student requires a phone to support their health or learning needs.
