Welcome to Janelle Wilson and Ricardo De Sousa our new sports administrators. 

Great to see so many boys out competing in a huge range of events.  Please make sure to send us any updated results and photos so that we can acknowledge our boys - sports@cbhs.nz.

Summer Tournament week

Summer Tournament week runs from 18 March to 24 March 2024.

We have the following teams away:

• Rowing Aon Maadi Regatta, Twizel
• Year 10 NZCT National Cricket Finals, Palmerston North
• Water Polo South Island Champs, Christchurch
• Mountain Biking South Island Champs, Arrowtown
• Volleyball South Islands, Christchurch

Winter Sports registration is now open

Please go to the parent portal to register and pay. Registrations close 26 March 2024. 

Winter Sports Trials

Trials for winter sport will be starting from the week of 25 March until the end of term. Respective sports will release this information soon – keep an eye on notices and school publications for these details.

Trials will be starting the week of 25 March (after Summer Tournament Week) 

There are some training sessions currently happening for winter sports. These are available to all students as long as they don’t clash with your summer sport. They are extra sessions that are encouraging boys to get active before the winter season. Your summer sport has priority. 

Rugby Coaching Masterclass Session Opportunity

These are some great sessions offered by CRFU to anyone who is interested in coaching, we encourage you to sign up and head along. There are some notable personnel running these.

1. Monday 18 March, 6:30pm @ Rugby Park: Set Piece Master Class with Craig Dunlea (Canterbury NPC Coach)
2. Monday 25 March, 6:30pm @ Rugby Park: Defence Master Class with Matt Todd (Canterbury NPC/Crusaders Coach)
3. Wednesday 3 April, 6:30pm @ Rugby Park: Attack Master Class with Alex Robertson (Canterbury NPC Coach)

CBHS coaching the coach's session: Friday 29 March

If you are interested in upskilling as a coach, then this will be a cracking day, with some great coaches to be involved. 

We will conclude the day with refreshments in the Big Room, before heading down to the stadium to watch the Crusaders play the Chiefs - transport will be provided.
