2016 NCEA Achievement

Jarred Williams —

Students have performed extremely well in the recent 2016 NCEA examinations. Overall results have improved from previous years and achievement across all three levels exceeds National averages.

Comparatively, outcomes also surpass boys' schools and schools with similar decile rating. We also celebrate an improvement in endorsements especially Excellence endorsements. Finally, as a School focus we wanted to lift Maori achievement. The success of this emphasis is evident in our Maori achievement exceeding national norms and by the fact that the BOT’s goal of 95% Maori achievement at Level 2 has been reached (96.6%). Congratulations to both students and staff for the dedication and hard work undertaken. In 2017 the School has set new academic goals and challenges and is committed to working hard to reach expectations, seek improvement and support student learning.
