By the end of this term, nine out of the ten Year 10 classes will have completed their individualised Career and Learning Plan. This is a 3 hour in-class unit that seeks to get students started on the transition road from school to something else.

Each student receives a one-on-one interview with Mr. Robson from the Careers Department. As subject choices are about to be made for 2017 it might be a timely opportunity to revisit the plans and check what was entered in the Subject Choice section. Some of the thinking around making subject choices for Year 11 should involve some consideration to plans beyond school.

Our work-place visits continue, which is where our students can see with their own eyes and hear for themselves what employers are saying about training and the skills needed to be successful.
