MUSIC

CBHS provides students of all experience levels the opportunity to learn and perform music in a supportive environment.

• Itinerant lessons offered on a range of instruments from Year 9

• Multiple performance opportunities through lunchtime concerts, showcase events and competition

• Funk, Jazz, Little Big Band, Blues Band, Dixie Band, String ensemble, Orchestra, Rock Band, singing group, school production

• Multiple rehearsal rooms and a recording studio allow for specialised opportunity

DRAMA

• Theatre Sports Club meets weekly and participates in interschool competition

• Opportunity to participate and gain experience performing publicly in a yearly production (curriculum and co-curriculum)

• Opportunities to perform at showcase events

• School music production combined with CGHS

• Drama available from Year 9-13 (NCEA UE subject)
