Hello my friends!

2020 has brought about many changes. Not just the obvious ones due to Covid-19, but also significant changes to our Kāhui Ako. This year I am working alongside Chris Hubble as the Across School Lead teachers for the Raki (Northern) Hub.

For the last six years I have been working as an Intermediate teacher at Villa Maria College. I love the enthusiasm the students bring in at this age. They are literally sponges soaking up every new learning experience that comes their way! One of our new Kāhui Ako goals is around student engagement. What is happening to these students highly-motivated youngsters to make them say they are bored at Year 10 (source: Me & My Schools data 2018 & 2019)? I welcome your thoughts.
