Robyn Thomson
My name is Robyn and I am the Y0 / 1 teacher at St Alban's Catholic School. I am lucky enough to share the role of Within School Leader with Jolanta. We have worked closely on developing the writing curriculum for our school as well as providing some guidance with PaCT from Evaluation Associates.
I have been in education long enough to experience the many changes and recycling of ideas that have taken place over the length of my career. I have taught across all levels of primary school and have experience in teaching children with special needs/abilities and adults who have English as their second language. My role in education has been varied as I have had team leader and DP positions as well as taught in other countries. I spent many years as a senior tutor at the New Zealand Graduate School of Education where I was able to indulge in my passion for literacy.
I am very happy to be back in the classroom after many years in post grad education. I feel privileged to have had many opportunities and experiences in my career that I can share with my colleagues in my role within the Kāhui Ako.
