What an amazing season of Basketball! The competition was tough but all players increased their knowledge of the game and have become confident using the skills that they have learned. A huge thank you to Jo Richards for coaching the Junior and Senior Girls teams, thank you to John Swinburne for coaching the Junior A boys team, thank you to Logan Ross for coaching the senior boys team and to Mr Schaumkel for coaching the Junior B and Senior B boys teams.

Congratulations to the Senior Girls team for making it to the Senior Girls Division 3 final against William Colenso College. Sadly the final score was 36 – 31 to William Colenso in a hard fought battle.

Steven Adams Camp 2019

Four students, Aaliyah Tiuka, Matthew Bramley, Sera Alofa and Jireh Schaumkel were fortunate to meet Steven Adams at the Steven Adams Basketball Camp held at Pettigrew Green Arena on Tuesday. Each person was given a basketball, a Steven Adams shirt and a bag with numerous goodies inside. A huge thank you to Paddy Steffert from the Hastings District Council, Paora Winitana and Paul Henare Basketball Academy and Meadow Fresh for allowing our students to meet and hang out with a super star. Our students were truly grateful and appreciated the opportunity.
