It is with great sadness that we acknowledge the passing of former staff member Mike Ataera on Wednesday. Mike worked at the College from 2006 until 2018 with the title of Learning Motivator and also briefly as our Truancy Officer. These titles do not fully describe the influence this strong, caring and inspirational man had within the school and the wider community. Always a pillar of strength, “Uncle Mike” was a guiding light for many students who were lacking in direction and support. He will be greatly missed. Our thoughts are with his family at this difficult time.
