Our annual senior Prizegiving was held last Thursday evening, this was a fantastic celebration of the outstanding achievements of so many of our students.

It was a great evening and our congratulations go to all those students who received awards. During the evening we also announced our head students for 2023 and congratulations go to:

Head Boy: Boston Wilton

Head Girl: Grace Watson

Deputy Head Boy: Fergus Watson

Deputy Head Girl: Liberty Jesperson

While the nature of the NCEA qualification is currently under review we as a school, led by the steering committee and with the full involvement of all staff, have also been researching and reviewing how we deliver our curriculum. Together with the Board we have established an exciting new strategic plan and direction with a focus on achieving better student engagement, offering more choice and varying how things are delivered in the classroom.

There will be some minor trials and changes taking place next year as we look further into our practice, but we will be asking our community for input as we head into the implementation stages of this project. I guess this is a ‘watch this space’ section as we will be unfolding more detail about this next year.
