At the start of this term, 9 students completed the Otago Rail Trail as part of their Duke of Edinburgh Leadership Award.

This trip was to meet the adventurous journey aspect of the award. They cycled 164km from Middlemarch to Clyde and back to Alexandra. The biggest challenge to the group was the headwind they faced for most of the ride, and plummeting temperatures on Day 3, but all completed it successfully. 

A huge thank you to Mr Knapp and Nicola Watson who also took on the challenge and supported our students in the process. Well done to all that attended.
