On Saturday 29 October, three pairs of senior volleyball players traveled to Brighton Beach near Dunedin to compete in a one-day Otago Beach Competition.

It was an early morning start and games began at 8AM. All teams played in the U19 grades with some tough competition. Luckily, the weather conditions were ideal, with hardly any wind. Teams competed in pool play and then onto playoffs and finals.

Tim Van der Poel and Cooper Dodds came out fifth in the U19 Boys grade. Sarah Beck and Arlia Bunning took out first, and Lucy White and Grace Watson won third in the U19 Girls grade. Fantastic work to all teams who played through sun and heat all day!
