Year 9 Clutha Gold Trail Mountain Bike Trip
Last weekend a hardy bunch of intrepid Year 9s, along with Mr Meechang, Mr Knapp, Mrs Cowie and “Nana” Noela headed up to Central Otago for two days of mountain biking along the Clutha Gold Trail.
The weather was perfect, the trail ranged from gentle to challenging in parts, the scenery was amazing, the food was fantastic and the company even better!
We had a few unexpected spills and crashes but everyone made it through the weekend in one piece and are all keen to do another trip like this in Year 10.
We were very lucky to have super-dads, Mike Crowe and Hayden Howard with us as well. A real bonus was getting to watch the Black Ferns play their semi-final against France at Noela’s house in Roxburgh as well as stopping at McDonalds in Gore on the way home!
Thanks to the teachers and parents for giving us this great experience.
