This year the team has been selected as Finalists for the Southland KIA Team of the Year for 2022 at the recent Active Southland ILT Southland Sports Awards, with the winner to be announced on Friday 8th July.

This group of athletes range in ages from 10 to 16 and have dominated all gymnastics events in the South Island over the 2022 competition season.

The 2022 Southland Sports Awards take into consideration achievements from April 2021 through to March 2022 which takes account the phenomenal results of the team during the 2021 competition season and their results at the Gymsports Nationals held in Auckland in July 2021, where the group brought home 6 medals.

This is a group of extremely dedicated, hard working and talented young ladies and it is amazing to see them being recognised for their achievements.
